The Japanese Garden
Japanese gardens tell stories. Bonsai, stones, dancing waters and ‘lost steps’ contain zen scenarios: tranquil, yet filled with surprises. TPO has invented an interactive system called children cheering carpet that represents a revolution in theatre and storytelling. An actress sets the stage, a dancer enters and the ‘magic' carpet is suddenly animated with images and sounds as sensors react to the pressure of feet or body. Then the audience is invited to explore the space and take part in an imaginary journey and create their own unique, sensorial experience.
